Default My Vibe 90SG Build Thread

Hi guys,

I decided to do a build thread and start posting pictures of my Vibe 90SG build as I complete the steps every night...

I was going to start assembling it this weekend, but I just could not wait...

So far its been a pleasure to build. The only issue I had was that I could not use the poly slider for the tail bevel gear because it would make the gears very tight. Other than that, so far so good...

Here is what I've done so far:

I will try to upload pics every night...

Regards,
G

I spent a good amount of time building it today and I finished assembling everything up to the engine. I'll have to wait for the YS to arrive before I can proceed...

At this stage, I completely understand why this kit costs $1500 and why the VIbe 50 is about half... The machine work and attention to detail on the SG is amazing... Its so nicely manufactured that even IF it does not fly well, I'd still be happy with my purchase... This is one of those helis that you just want to keep on rebuilding... The way they designed the chassis stiffeners is really nice. Everything just look indestructible, at least when its on the work table!!! I hate to crash this thing...

Here are the latest pics...

gorgin ... what electronics are you putting in her ? I decided to go with the 8717HV servos on cyclic with the 7100R due to the recent issues with the reactor-x . It will also solve the which gov. to go with senario . Im about were you are in the build ... not rushing as I will not have all the pieces to fly her for about another two to three weeks . Good luck with the rest of the build .... All I can say is quality with a capital Q . Best build by far .

Hi Gary,

For now, I disassembled one of my Vibe 50s, and will be borrowing everything from it until I save up enough to buy what I REALLY want for the SG...

For now this is what I have:

* Engine: YS .91 SR
* Muffler: Hatori SB19
* Main Blades: RotorTech 710mm
* Tail Blades: Radix 105mm
* Paddles: 95mm V-Paddles
* Cyclic Servos: JR 8717
* Throttle Servo: JR DS287MG Micro
* Gyro: Spartan DS760
* Rudder Servo: JR 8900G
* Governor: Multigov Pro
* Regulator: SG Reactor X
* Battery: Flight Power Evo Lite 2500mAh 2S
* Receiver: Spektrum AR7000

What I like to get in the future is 8717HVs, Perfect Regulator, Outrage 3S pack, JR921 Receiver, and a DX7se with upgrade bearings...

But for now, I will keep one V50 as a crash kit until I can afford to have it flying again...

Regards,
G

Maybe it's just me, but I can't see the extra $1000 there in the side-by-side shot. Wonder where they put it
