Thanks!

Now I have some questions for you guys before I start the build.

Wondering what you guys suggest as far as upgrades that should be done right away if any? I don't really care for too much bling just things that actually increase performance. I'm thinking aluminum servo cage/bearing holder, and third bearing block. I thought i saw an aluminum "Y" support for the motor, bling or useful? Is there any benefit from the aluminum pulleys? Do I absolutely need the program card to get it set up properly for initial flying or can the basic esc settings be stick programed? What's the reason for two different main shafts (hollow/solid)? Is one for the low hub fbl? Do I need to ground the boom to the motor mount on this bird?

Sorry for all the questions, just want to be sure I am headed in the right direction.

I skimmed over the instructions last night and it looks like a fun build that should go pretty easy!

Thanks again I'm looking forward to this heli, should be great fun!

I would get a brighter fusuno canopy and neon horizontal stabilizer and vertical tail fin. My mini is so fast, that these really help alot with orientation.

Agreed! The canopy it comes with is nice but I know it will be a PIA to see orientation very well. Iv been looking at a replacement.

Yep, that canopy is way too "sky" colored for my old eyes!
I've had my Mini on radar at 72mph, so you need something to make it visible!

The only upgrade part I have on mine is the low FBL hub, and I don't really feel the need for anything else.

And I suspect it was actually faster, due to the angle of the radar gun to the flight path. It's a fast little dude, for sure.

Agree about the fins. I have the yellow ones on one of mine, the yellow msh tailbaldes and I'm going to have to get the other one similarly kitted out. Against a dark background (trees, buildings) it brings the tail out.

Also been trying to source some decent light flourescent tape to put strip on the tail.

I personally like the stock yellow canopy.

The main shafts are 6mm, go for the hollow, they are lighter and I'd rather cop a bent main shaft than damage elsewhere.

The boom is pre-grounded apparently by design, in any case, I'll be honest, I've never had static issues with either the B450 or the mini protos. I spray the inside of my booms with teflon spray and lube my belt with silicon oil and I'm flying a spektrum receiver satellite.

I've only flown these things since early this year though so somewhat with more hours logged could comment.

If you're sticking to 3S you probably don't need the program card for now but if you can get it at a good price now, I would.

Oh, don't forget the shiny foil sticker things you can put on the blades The things that amuse me... sometimes I wonder..

my 2 cents.

Neon fins, more visible canopy, more visible (MSH Gorilla Gear) undercarraige, and the Proc card are bits that I have addewd - I can see the value in the CNC servo blocks and 3rd support sound worthwhile but are a bit pricey IMHO

I'm fully stock at the moment. I think Alu pulleys, and colored tail blades are the only things I will upgrade in the future.

Tracking says its out for delivery today! Can't wait to open it up! Bummer I will be out of town this weekend, the build will have to wait until next week to get started...

I still need a fbl controller though (decided to leave the bx on my B450). Wish the brain was out now or even the spartan vortex...debating between the SK540 or another bx in the interim. Anyone running the 540 on a mini yet? I would like to hear some feedback on it with this bird in particular. Probably gonna get a brain after the first wave hits the general market.

I like you just ordered a kit and actually got it tonight. the kit contents are excellent quality could not ask for better packing and the way it looks when you open the box is a major wow factor. I will be running a 6s setup stretched I think I am going to do a build thread I assembled the head tonight since I do not have the aluminum servo mounts yet I had to skip a few steps in the manual but if you would like we can copare build notes and so forth im gonna try and take it slow on the build as I usally have it built the same night I get it. hope everything goes well with your build. cant remeber are you running your bird stock or do you plan 6s or stretch kit or anything like that?

Ifollwed your build thread hows it flying. Oh and if you plan on keeping it flybarred for a while let me know cause Ihave all these extra parts for the flybar stuff I am not gonna use If you want it let me know we can work something out. will the stock blades work with fbl good I dont see wheter or not they are branded for fb/fbl so Im guessing thay are good to go for both. proably never use them as I have 350 radix but I can still alway fly 325s with a stretch

It flies awesome!

So far, i'm only planning to keep it flybarred till the MSH brain becomes available this summer (1.5 month away). Thanks for the offer though!

It flies really nice. Not as locked in as my 500 (my 500 is FBL..) but i'd say more agile. It also has a lot of punch. Nothing like the Blade 450 I had before. And the sound it makes... Ahhhh, sweet melody!
