Default What does throttle min & max do in advanced....?

In the advanced view, common window, gov, and under the setup tab, there is the gear ratio, pole number and throttle min and throttle max sliders.

What do they do? what originally set the numbers in the sliders?

I had previously posted that my gov was working with a 6s battery but not with a 12s pack.(odd I know).but after plying with these sliders I could regulate the speed envelope and then the speed sliders for the gov wallet work with a 12s battery.

Flyi, in the basic view window with the gov off, I did do that throttle rpm setting adjustment to find those end points. If I changed those, the sliders in the advanced window do not move.

Thanks

I used the advanced ones so I can see the numbers move and know where I'm at. They are supposed to do the same but I like to see that I'm adjusting something.

The throttle min and max adjust the throttle range that the Ikon/Brain gov will output to the ESC.

When you calibrate the throttle stick in the Ikon/Brain setup it likely won't match up perfectly to what the ESC is expecting to see for throttle range. The throttle min/max values allow you to adjust the throttle endpoints so it matches what the ESC needs to see.

So it sounds like when your in the basic view and are on the gov page then do the throttle cal like what is shown in the video, that these min & max sliders should change as well. Is this true?

Yes. They are the throttle end points in microseconds (pulse width of servo signal). On basic view each push of the +- buttons will move the slider 3~5 microseconds can't remember exactly but it's more than 1.

The higher I push the max button in the basic view the faster the motor goes go a certain point. Then I back it down a click. However the gov no longer works. I have to go to advanced and lower the slider on the t max till I set the max rpms as what I require for max head speed. Really seems odd to me.

Should I remove ikon and do a ESC cal straight from the radio and start over?

If plan on using the Ikon gov you should never be calibrating the ESC from the radio.

If you are totally lost start with
throttle min @ 1200
throttle max @ 1800
That should be very close.

for calibration governor must be turned off.
you must have the throttle curve set to 0,25,50,75,100
the transmitter panel in the Ikon software must show 0 and low stick, low trim
and 100 at high stick. If not adjust throttle endpoints (not curve) on radio.
Disengage pinion so you don't chop your head off.

Turn off everything.
Turn on TX and put stick to full.
turn on heli
In the basic view governor page hit + on the MAX side until the esc enters programming mode, go slow, it will do some beeping stuff.
turn everything back off
turn transmitter on put the stick all the way down.
turn heli back on and go the basic view governor page and hit the - on the MIN side until ESC arms.

You can go back to advanced view you should probably see 1190 for min and 1820ish for max.

You ESC should be in heli fixed end point multirotor mode.

Thanks, I ended up with 1090 & 1890 on the throttle min max. I think that worked, however there might be some type if programming issue I ran into. Just for bench setup, I had normal mode gov set to 1000 rpms and it didn't like that. Once I raised the slider to about 1300 rpms the kicked in and started to work as advertised.I guess it was my fault as as first I was using all low rpms and it didn't like that.

Thanks

Really can't test it without flying it. Gov can't function right without a load.
