That is a distinct possibility, at least with my Ultimate2, lol... I was flipping, hovering and spinning the thing on its first flight. The Mustang is such a beautiful plane (even a small one made of styrofoam with a whiney electric motor) I probably won't beat on it (too much).

You don't happen to know the max amps that motor can take, do you? These stock components probably won't take too much over the oem as far as upgrades...

I was thinking of just getting a different prop, but there aren't many 4 bladed props out there and I like the scale look of it.

Eflite 15

Product Specifications

Type: Brushless outrunner motor
Size: 15-size
Recommended Prop Range: 10x6–13x6.5
Continuous Current: 34A
Maximum Burst Current: 42A (15 sec)
Cells: 8–12 Ni-MH/Ni-Cd or 3-4S Li-Po
Speed Control: 40–45A brushless

Changing the ESC alone wont give you a faster speed. Try a different prop or try a 25 sized motor with the appropriate prop.

So if there's a plane/heli out there that has a servo you don't like, you don't buy it at all?

seems limiting.

Some people are tinkerers, others are bone stockers. I fall somewhere in between.

Yeah, I ended up going this route, at least to start.

I got an APC 11x7e prop. Haven't flown it yet, it's been raining here in drought stricken CA for the past 2 weeks!

It was a little annoying that the spinner I got was pretty heavy for an electric plane, and needed a bunch of cutting to get the APC to fit, and the back plate contacted the cowl, so it either needs a different prop adapter or a spacer.

As a result, I actually have the stock 4 blade spinner on it right now with the APC, and hoping that won't cause too many issues.

I am pretty much a bone stocker and yep. There are so many amazing choices out there, I look for reasons not to have planes on my list. I can always swap something like servos if I have to, but my preference is to avoid anything like that if I can.
