Default What did you do with your Chronos today?

Maidened mine today!!!!

Wow, all I can say is that I had a huge smile on my face. Believe all you've read about how precise, responsive, fast and light this helicopter flies. The only setting I had to tweak on Vbar was agility - other than that, she's dialed.

I will try to post video(s) next week.

Yes! The Royal blue ones match the chronos canopy perfectly.

They're both excellent machines but I would have to give the edge to the Chronos because it's more precise and feels lighter when changing direction/altitude.

That's really interesting since the chronos is probably heavier. The new geometry must really make a difference

They're pretty close in weight. I held up both this morning and couldn't tell which was heavier. I tried to weigh the Goblin but I couldn't get it to balance on my scale. If you're ever in Los Angeles, let me know and I'll let you try the Chronos so you can judge first hand.

I've actually been thinking about upgrading my 7hv for a long time but its hard to disturb a heli that flies so great. Hard to imagine it flying better, but I guess there's just no way to know without trying it.

Ok Guys, I flew my Chronos in the cold up here in WI, just could not wait for warmer weather. Using Kontronik 200 ESC, pulse 1350 buffer pack, BK 7002 on cyclic and BK 8005 on tail servo, XNOVA 4530-525KV, Brain FBL unit with DSMX sats for my DX9. Started using the default 700 size, and it had a slight head shake so dropped the main gains down to I think 30 something, then went on to tune the tail. I follow the tail tuning guide as provided in the Brain/Ikon forums on all my helis with great success... but no matter what I do I can not seem to get a slow tail wag to go away on the Chronos. I am using secraft 15mm V1 arms on the tail, should I go up to a 17mm tail servo horn, so what should I be looking for? Tail seems very smooth, and I did buy the reamer for the ball links as they where very stiff to begin with. Any thoughts on this? And I would have started my own thread, but I am at work now and when I try that our internet blocks me. Thanks for any input you guys have on this.

Not sure if it's the same model bk servos or not but there is a known issue with bk servos and the brain so look into that.

I would also try the longer servo horn and see if it's better. When you have the servo horn disconnected from the servo, double check the tail is moving smooth. It might just take a few flights to break in and being really cold could cause parts to stiffen up a little

On my 7HVU the BK 8005HV was causing a fast tail wag which I could not tune out (this was with a Vbar mini). This tail wag was quite violent too, and with the gains near 0 it still existed very obviously.

Exchanged it for a BK 7006 and it's been Perfect
Might not be your issue but I have read quite a few issues of tail wags and the 8005HV

I have found 35-50 works for gain on the 7hv2 tail with vstabi 16mm
