Default Optimum Gov Gain Setting? - HV80ICE

Is 7 the optimum setting to be running at - using a HV80ICE and original motor?

I`m running gov gain with a setting of 15 at the moment and was wondering what difference I would notice with the performance in governer mode by reducing it down.

I really like 15 so far, 10 and 7 just seemed to un responsive and the HS bogged more.

Just come back from the flying field with the 700E.

Gov gain is still on 15 (low) and seems OK.

Maybe needs to go up a little bit more as I did detect a very slight `bog` on full power climb outs.

I`ll try it next time out.

If u guys fly realy hard,
Anything above 12 will strip ur gears.
I stripped like 7 or 8 gears, but since i set my gain to 9 ive been spending money on other stuff than main gears
Hope it will keep workin good @ 9

I am pushing the bird pretty hard with the CNC main gear, were you using silicon spray on it? I seem to have no ware on it using silicon ever 5th flight..... been pulling around 7-9kW to and its been good : ) ..... gove gain of only 15 tho as i am afraid of stripping it any higher.

hmmm, interesting , with my 700e in a rainbow , on the down leg the gov chops the throttle hard , you hear it back off , then at the bottom of the rainbow , it loads up , and makes a horrible noise like its trying the strip the tail gear in flight and kicks the tail out 15deg ..
i landed , went back to 100% flat fixed endpoints , and the noises went away ..flys better ..
sad i was hoping for more from the ice gov
