I'll for sure report how it goes....

Wanted to take it to the field on Friday, but am also swapping out a Turnigy
plush ESC on my HK/Align Mutt 450 with a YEP ESC, am gonna try to get
acquainted with Gov mode flying using it as a test subject, gotta do some soldering and set up with that one....hopefully fly it Friday!

Didn't know Emax made a tail servo. Might have to try one. Do you have a link to where I can get one? Their cyclic servos work great.

Ah dangit, they are for a 450....might be a little big for that 250...
http://www.alofthobbies.com/emax-es9258.html

But I wonder how these would do on cyclic? For SR/250
http://www.alofthobbies.com/emax-es08md.html

Just looked...they are too big for SR....but might fit the 250 on cyclic!

Those Emax ES08MD's will fit on the SR. I have a set of ES08MA's on my SR. They are exactly the same size except they are analog. They are a bit tight putting them in but they will fit. I just had to take apart the servo mount and canopy pins and put everything back together with the servos in it piece by piece. Might sound like a pain but its really not bad. They work great after you get them centered.

Check out this place on EBay

http://stores.ebay.com/Egrandmart/_i..._sid=892297968

They have pretty good deals on Emax servos.

thats a great deal on those servos!
I have been trying to remember the dang tail servo I had on my 250 I had....it's been bugging the crap outta me! LOL
I wanted to tell you because that 250 I had was super nice to fly and the tail was locked in like a laser! If you cannot get your tail to hold good try one of those Spartan Quarks! They really are amazing gyro's and really easy to set up.
I run one on my Trex 500FB, and its just something else to see that thing fly and that little bitty gyro holding that big ol heli locked in nice and tight! I had bought the one for the 250 simply because it was so small and compact. Didn't realize just how nice the thing was holding the tail too, till I flew it.
I think the servo I used was a Futaba S3157 for the tail....

I have my Hitech 65's mounted on my SR now, but thats about it. Have been lazy and not done anything else to it, gotta take the blade grips off and put new O rings in there...I had read somewhere that we could use different O rings in there but can't remember what ones.....these from Blade are crap! Seems I gotta replace em on a regular basis! :-(

I'd love to try a Spartan Quark, they're just so damn expensive. The gyro I have on there now is a Radiolink gy100. It is about the same size as a Quark, about 3/4" x 3/4". It came on my 450 pro when I bought it off of my buddy and it held the tail great on it with a EXI digital micro servo. It should work pretty good on my 250 with the Turnigy 306g.

Don't know what o rings you can use on the SR but when work is slow, all I do is play on the computer and I'll see what I can find out for you.

OK, I read that the Esky EK1-0228 center hub is a direct replacement. If the hub will work then I would imagine that the o rings would work too. I didn't research this to confirm it but at least it is somewhere to start.

Sounds good. Let me know if it works out. The thread I read said the Esky center hub is way better than the SR hub so I would only hope that the o rings are better too.

I just checked out the Honey Bee CP2.....it looks very similar to the ol CP pro which became the SR....checking out parts for it on Xheli....Looks like you can get the head, or the O rings separately.
