Default Does my 250 Need his Little Brother?

Okay, so you've seen my collection of helicopters. I have an MSR which I hardly fly anymore because I got it's bigger brother the 120SR.
I also have Walkeras V120 which seems smaller than the Eflite 120SR so that sort of takes care of my micro-needs.

I have a KDS 450 which look's like a Trex 450, and I just recently finished building my Align Trex 250. So, I'm wondering if I need/want the Trex 100 to go along with my 250. It's kind of cool having different scale models of the same thing lined up next to each other.

My question is, is the Trex 100 good enough to warrant adding to my collection of helicopters? Is it good enough to give my 250 a little brother to play with? Will there be upgrades and fuselages for it to make it more fun in the future?

What do you think? I did think it was cute when I saw it at the AMA show, and I kind of wanted one, but I wanted to know how it matches up to what I already have. I know it's FP, and it's not exactly an identical twin to the 250. But, it is an Align product, and it is a Trex model.

It's a Trex in name only... It's a completely different type of product...

It's like slapping the BMW name on a bicycle (they did that for a while, you know) and somehow coming to the conclusion that it's comparable to a M6 Coupé.

Just sayin'.

Yes keep in mind although it's got the T-Rex name, it is intended for beginners. They never claim you can enter the 3D masters with it, so don't expect it to outfly your 250 (yet).

Well first as I've said this many times before, I am not a 3D pilot nor do I have any intensions on being so. I'm a scale pilot! Second, I'm aware of the 100's capabilities and that it is just another MSR.
But, it doesn't look like an MSR, it look's closer to the 250. You can see a family resemblance there with the canopy design.

It's slightly bigger than mSR. I posted a photo of the two in that other thread.

Speaking of scale, but buddy fitted the 100 into a scale Huey body. Looks sweet.

Cool. Interesting you said it's slightly bigger than the MSR. Does anybody have a picture of the MSR next to the 100?
I'm still thinking I "need" a 100 to go with my 250 and it's 450 brothers.

Cool thank you very much. Well then it's not exactly like having two of the same thing. Then again, I have two 450's and their not exact to each other anyway.
I think I'll wait and see how much people like their 100 before buying one for my self.

Well, I think this answers the question. Why would I want another MSR that look's like a Trex, when I can have this?

If you want a baby t-Rex then wait a couple of months for the t-Rex 100 3G to come out. It is like an mcp x, but under a different name (t-Rex) rather then eflite. For me it is just preference between the two, but in the end I'll probably get both!

Oh very funny. When I meant a couple of months I really sort of meant a year or so rather then that.
