I have a feeling that the 570 is going to get announced, and that the 450 is going to get released! As they said they have 2 important announcements and 1 Heli being released! I reckon the 450 will get released and a 570 will get announced in a few months. I also reckon they let the 570 slip because the hype was starting to die down, let the 570 slip and look, all hyped up again! IMO a very very good marketing strategy!

There are currently no notes on "release" information on anything. You can expect at least 1 announcement soon.

Not scrubbed, just hidden from our prying eyes.

Keep wishing but as you know the opposite is the most likely. Much quicker to upgrade the existing 500 with parts to stretch it then start with a blank sheet as others have noted. And you don't load parts onto a web site until it is close to release.

I plan on adding the tail from the G570 to my BK edition 500 and keeping my other 500 stock. It should make a great low headspeed single pack floater running my 6s 4500mah packs.

It really should be no surprise, SAB planned the original 770 idea and spoke about it well befor the 700 ever was first launched.

This machine will be a killer low disk load setup for those not quite satisfied with the 500.
The 630 is there in the lineup but bit heavy really.

Can't wait for the release.

A 450 size is really a much bigger project and not the realistic one to expect after the 500. It's a complete new from the ground up heli with no parts crossing over.
Give them some time they haven't had much chance to breathe in 2 years.
Totally agree with you on this one ! I can't wait !! 570 should be a good balance between size and power ....

Cheers

Glad to see a few more wanting the 570 kits, I thought someone was going to egg me when I brought it up the 1st time..... the 450 craze I just don't get.. It would be cool to see a little gobbler, but don't we all aspire to move from the 450 to something we can see when it's 200 ft away from us? Just saying...

Ya what's with the craze for a 450? I can't imagine that there is going to be much to gain in the 450 class for SAB.....

I am grabbing a 570 for sure, the day its released. And will grab the 450 size when its available as well. The little micro 450 will be a blast in the yard! I think many guys like to have a trusty 450 size laying around for those days we just dont want to drive all the way to a big field to fly.

That's what the 500 is for, can park fly that thing no problem.. I just cant see the appeal in a gob with the complex lay out and some little tiny micro screws... but to each his own..

I would imagine that you could power it as 6s or step up to 7s. It just depends upon how much room they give for a battery.

I agree, I fly my G500 in my front yard, but not everyone feels comfortable doing so with a 500~520mm size bird. And some do not have access to larger parks with not that many people around. A lot of guys are wanting a 450ish size coming from ultra micro's as well, like mcpx's etc.. There is a HUGE market for 450 size models. A goblin would be a neat addition to that market/group IMO.

No doubt that a little one would be neat to see, but I don't get all the guys with 6/7/8 on here that are wanting a bird that they graduated from a long time ago. why not just roll a clone and save the money for when the 900 comes out... now that's a plan...

I can't speak for everyone but I still actively use a 450 as a "trainer" before I go try a new move and ground my big ass Gobbler.

For me the pull is.. I will always have this 450 as both a Trainer and my Traveler that I take with me to hotels/vacations/road trips so that I have something to do when my wife goes balls deep with her ipad watching the "Real Housewives of Whatever the $h!t" or "Walking Dead" or whatever the flavor of the week is.

So since I know I will always have a 450.. It'd be really cool to have a 450 Gobbler. Not that I don't like my Gaui... But I am just a big fan of the Gobbler design both mechanically and visually.

Nice find.

That's more than just a 500 stretch. Different frame, full size servos... can't see if it's 6S or 12S though.

edit - Actually, you can see a second EC5 connector below the nose of the canopy. Could be the battery or it could be 12S.

If going 12's you may as well do a 630 or bigger. I still don't see why they released a 570.

Powersystem for the 570 is still unknown. A 12S 570 is not gonna do anything for me, but maybe a 7s or 8s? Time will tell
