What Hitec servos are best for Lepton EX??

I'm currently using the HS-65MG in my Trex, but these are too small for the Lepton.

HS 85, you can choose either metal or plastic...
BTW my friend uses it on his Ep8 and it rocked!!!

I think it is possible to fit the Hs 65 in there... becuase on my lepton, the servo mount for the Swash looks movable, and looks like it can be raised to accomodate the HS65 size

Are the HS65 servos bigger than the HS 85s??

I'm running HS 65 Metal gears on Mandy's CDE/SE, and carbonites on my SE. A mild crash stripped one of my gears, so I much prefer to go with the metal gears on the Lepton.

Futaba doesn't make a metal gear analog servo for the Lepton, correct???

Yes i do have a Lepton, build and now just waiting for my CC HV45 to arrive...
I would go for the HS 85s, they are bigger than the HS 65/56 etc... HS 85s will fit nicely... yes, you can use those HS65s, but the lepton is a bigger heli, and I'd be caustious to be using those micro servos... -go with the 85s

Futaba does have Metal Gears for the Lepton, however the specs are very unimpressive... there are JR servos which i cant recall the model, its very good specs. but seeing a friend fly an EP8 with HS 85s, i dont see why i would need those digital ones...

My setup is...
Stock heli
Hacker A30 10xl
HV45 coming soon
3s 2100 Mah TP prolites (2)
Futaba s3101 on the pitch
Gy401/s9650

What's so unimpressive about the Futabas? The 3102 has a rating of .25/51oz on 4.8v and .20/64oz on 6v. The HS-85's are rated at .16/41oz at 4.8v and .14/48oz at 6v. Personally I would go with the Futaba for the higher torque. I believe the HS-85's also have a reputation of easily stripping gears (sometimes in flight).

.25 sec vs .16 sec at 4.8 volts??? :?: :?: I would say that is quite a significant difference.

Plus, don't the Hitecs come in a metal gear version wheras the Futaba's do not??

I did a TON of looking at different servos for the Lepton and just didnt like the speeds etc of what is out there in that size servo.

I am going with the Airtronics 94761's myself!
Looks like a perfect digital for thew Lepton.

Here are the specs:
Weight .80 oz
Dimensions 1.06x.47x1.18
4.8 or 6V
Torque 55/66
Speed 0.15 / 0.12
Metal gears

Hmmmm, Interesting.

I was going to get the 94761Z for my tail servo. Until I read your post on the specs. Your specs match what Airtronics website advertises.

Apparently HeliHobby is posting the wrong info. They are saying it is a 0.12/0.10 speed servo. That would make it faster than the Fut 9650.

Oh well, back to the drawing board.......

So will these 93761s directly fit as the cyclic/collective servos in the Lepton??

Where can one get these JR Z3650 servos? And can anyone confirm that they will fit and work correctly. They are a little bit larger than what Hirobo recommends.

You guys want to look at these as an option too. http://www.multiplexusa.com/RC-comp/Servos/Polo.htm Note: MPX rates the speed at 40 degrees...

Basically it is a digital HS-85.
