I purchased an ESC (R/C heli part) from him on helifreak.com. Here is the sellers post https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=294797.
Helifreak says he has been online.
Here is a transcription of all our communications:

Me: I thought you were online. I will just say I'll take it at $40 to avoid losing it. Let me know for sure when you get this message. Send paypal and I'll send payment.
Him: Thanks for the messages. I accept the $40 shipped offer. You can send payment to: joeynicholl@gmail.com and upon payment I will get the ESC shipped out. Did you want me to leave the EC3 connector on?
Me: I use deans. If your good at soldering, and you have a deans, throw one on... if not you can cut the ec3 off and leave me some wire. Does it have the bullet connectors?
Ill send payment. I think if you do a small flat rate box through priority mail it will ship fast...
Me: Did you get my payment?

Me: Did you ship it out? Do you have tracking number? I didn't get it yet...
Him: The ESC should be there tomorrow or at the latest thursday. I had work commitments last week and couldn't get to the post office as soon as I had hoped. I sent it out in a small padded envelope with first class service and didn't opt for the tracking number. If it's not there by thursday afternoon, please let me know and I'll contact my post office.

Let's just hope this gets figured out tonight.

Now its 4/20 I left negative feedback and escalated my dispute to a claim with paypal. What an ass...

It also says he's a cop on his profile. Apparently internet fraud isn't a crime where he's from.

I think "Student / Law Enforcement Officer" in internet translates as "Security Guard" in real.
