Newbie heli and radio selection?
Hello all. This is my first post on here as I am just starting to look for my first real rc heli. I have flown micro coaxials (Air Hogs, etc) in the past but want to start to move into more serious models. I eventually would like to get into a Trex 450, but I realize I need some experience before I move to this level. I'm looking at the Blade 120 SR. I also would like to get a radio that I can grow into and use for a long time. My first thought is the DX6 because its such a good deal. But now I'm wondering if I should just bite a bullet and get the DX7 instead? Will one work better than the other with the 120 SR? Also, I only see the DX7 sold with a receiver. Why is this? Is it sold without the receiver anywhere? Will I have any problems binding the DX6 or DX7 with the 120, or 450 when I eventually get to that stage? Thanks for the info everyone!

The DX7 will work no better with your 120SR than the dx6i. But it'll serve you longer. The Dx6i or the DX7 will bind just fine to all blade helicopters, or anything else using 2.4ghz spektrum technology that is dsm2/dsmx

Technically no one won't work better for the Blade 120 SR.. Actually the DX6i is fine for most Electric Heli Enthusiasts..
Now go and get the DX8 Transmitter Only it has Telemetry, 8 channels, so many nice features and it feels very nice in your hands.. HorizonHobby is who sells the radios and they rock so you can also call them up or search on their site for a place that carries the radios so you can go feel them for yourself http://www.horizonhobby.com/products...y-md2-SPMR8800
