logo 600 or 600SE

Guys I need your help to decide whether to buy the logo 600 or 600SE, and if the 600SE what battery setup 10S or 12S?

First just ask yourself what type of flying you want to do i love a fast moving heli so i have the 400 and 500.i also have a 620 which i just took to a 693 it seems way more floaty then when it was a 620 not sure how much i will like it but i will fly it for a few weeks and see.others here will give you better info on the se .

I like the bigger the better...Flew the SE with 640mm blades for around 6 months, now just installed 690mm blades.

I'd buy the 600 and try that first

IF you don't like it , for $80 you got a SE.

600 will do box flying and smack better than the 600se

600se you can 3d but not as hard as a 600.

If you get a 80hv jive it will work on 12s with both machines. Keeping your options open.

Put a set of 623 edge blades on the 600 for maximum speed and punch.

Just get and SE, a 450kV or below motor, and a couple pinions. You can fly 693 or 623 with the same packs.

Actually I have the same question of mswify. I need to make my mind clear in getting or the 500 or the 600 but in this case, the 3D or the SE.....

OverTemp: you own both, witch are the main differences, mechanical and upgrades?

Boom, belt, boom supports, and tail pushrod length... that't is. Oh... the SE comes with a 30mm motor mount, the 3D comes with a 25mm mount (last I checked). And my SE came with a static grounding kit.

I say the SE... you can try BOTH types of blades (623/693) with a pinion change. The length difference is VERY minimal... like 40mm... a littler over an inch. That inch gives you the freedom to run any blades you want, though. No need to cough up another $80 to try bigger blades... just the $19 pinion. Pretty sweet deal really!!!!! I run 105mm blades with the QUK tail on both now, so even the tail blades stay the same.

Go with 1100-1200g packs... I have hyperions now, about to try some Voltz 3700 or 4200 (can't decide). You can run the same packs in both the SE and the 3D if using 623mm blades and performance rocks!

I've had both the 3D and SE as well until my SE went up in flames due to a Castle ESC fire. Since then, I've rebuilt the 3D into an SE with the parts that survived the fire and run it on 623's and 693's on 105's. I also run Voltz 3700 and 4200 35C packs and I would say that the 4200's are best for the 693's (if still a bit floaty for me) and the 3700's are the perfect weight to run on 623's. I've run the Voltz 3300's on 623's too and it ends up feeling similar to the floatiness of the 693's. Shoot for a motor+battery combined weight of 1500-1650g for the 3D and 1600-1750g for the SE.

It all comes down to personal preference, but I'm finding that as I learn more tricks and get comfortable with flying harder, I prefer the snappier feel of the 623's (3D) to the floaty/slow/smooth feel of the 693's. From a in-air presence standpoint, there's a very minimal difference. Good luck and enjoy!

I've been going back and forth between the Voltz 4200 and 3700 for my next purchase (623 mains).

I'm currently using 1200g packs (Hyperion) with a 22g pinion protector sheet on top of them, but I semi-taco'd a couple in a crash and they are starting to puff a little as I fly them.

I'm going to be running carbon plates top and bottom now to help protect the packs, but these add 50g each to the total weight. That'll be 78g heavier than the current pinion protector I'm using. I hope the carbon sheets top and bottom will help protect the packs better in another crash. Anyway, it takes the 4200s to 1300g... 1745g with the 445g motor. If I use the 3700s it will be 1665g total...80 g lighter.

Wondering if the 2.6 ozs will be noticeable in flight... enough to lose .8 minutes of flying time per flight (assume 70% discharge). That's 2 hours of flying time over 150 cycles.

Thoughts... or buy and try

I've gotcha, OT...I'd say go for the 3700's with the added weight of the carbon plates. I can barely tell the difference between the stock 3700's and 4200's, but the same weight difference between the 3300's and 3700's is quite noticeable. With your added carbon plate weight, I'd be afraid that the 4200's might make the 623's feel a bit less snappy...

I've flown my 3D with up to 1300g Turnigy packs and it feels a bit sluggish. Plus, you'll be running a bit extra weight already by virtue of the fact that you're swinging 623's on an SE airframe (or will you? I may be confusing you with the OP...sorry ). Just my two cents...

I have one of each... debated whether to drop the SE to 623mm too.

I guess 5.5 minutes (my draw seems to be 455mAh/min, or 27.3 Amps average) isn't too bad. That's only 20% of the 35C continuous rating of the 35C Voltz!

Hi,

Im considering a Logo 600 SE kit too. I think im gonna run 623 blades to begin with.

a local LHS sells this kit FBL with vbar, jive 80 hv and a Scorpion HK 4035-500

is this motor ok for me to grow with and run 623 blades ? They have both scorpion and hacker motors.

Also in regards to the esc im thinking jive is a keeper for quality but will i loose out not beeing able to run vbar gov ?
