Default Let's see your AHF!

Ok guys, time to liven it up a bit. Let's see some shots of your AHF's.

Dressed for action and nude (we all love us some HeliPorn right?).

(I'll post my two babies shortly, still setting the new one up!)

Very nice! You'll have to post a few more angles, I wanna get those new Fusuno canopies, just can't decide between that and a different styled Trex one.

Everyone seems to be running 650's for the vast majority.

Here's the sunset one. I'm thinking I'm going to run the same GY520/DS650 combo as my 550.

Damnit... lol These canopies are making my stock yellow one feel inferior!

I was contemplating emails Fusuno and seeing if they could put a Trex's white/green paint combo on a Aeolus canopy for me. I know they do this as I seen others had it done.

Here are a couple of mine. Love this machine, very cheap to fix, flies superb, looks large in the air, capable of doing mush more than I can throw at it.
Align/OS 50 Hyper, Fut 9252's, Align DS 610, GY 520 gyro (now Beast X) Throttle Jockey Gov. Align 600 blades.

I'm installing a Micro Beast in it tonight. Anyone else put the Beast X in their's? If so what did you use for sticky tape, the thick or thin?

Awesome looking bird Matt,

What was the extent of the damage on her? Looks minimal?

Finally got it out in the sun! Didn't have time this week to pickup fuel tubing/filters, etc, otherwise it's GTG! Should have it done next week. The Torq servos are friggin gonzo fast. Not enough pics of our birds up here, so here's a few....

It's easy in one way and hard in another. Hard that everything is so close together you have a lot of slack, easy in that everything you do is hidden The gy520 has 3 very long leads and the servo is only 2" from the bus for the connectors and the receiver itself. I may substitute those 3 for some 3 and 4" extensions.

I just use pieces of velcro because it sticks not only to itself but the other straps here and there. You can wrap up like component wires then just have a chunk of strap bundle the bundles... At least with initial testing and setup, I wouldn't have to take too much apart to mess around with any one component. If I wanted to be picky I would cut everything to custom lengths, not so much an issue with everything under the lid though. And using the AR7100R and HV servos takes out two components I don't even need to add(regulator and governor).

The satellite seems to be a natural for sticking on the top like that just in front of the starter wand access, and you can see the confirmation light without taking off the canopy.
