Default Chronos vs 7HV Ultimate in Low RPM

Hi guys ,
I love to fly my 7HV Ultimate Between 1500 RPM and 1700 RPM.
Smooth 3D..
Some friends told me the Chronos fly better also in low RPM..
i am surprise because the Chronos is more heavy (around 180 gr more)...
So before i decide for the upgrade could you please tell me if you like your Chronos in Low RPM compared to the 7 HV Ult ?

Thanks

Not much difference in my experience so far. I have a Spyder 30C 12S4000 pack which is a great deal lighter than my 70C 12S4400's for when I want to fly low rpm. I've never noted the weight difference in the model since the control response is a bit better with the Chronos. It's said that the damping adjustment is a reason it could fly better at low rpm, but most have simply set their damping firm and left it there. No wobbles at reduced rpm, so no real reason to adjust it.

Rob,
At higher rpm do you also notice little difference?

Maybe the control response of the 7 HV can be very close to the Chronos when we use the same swash driver..

Ah no man.
I am using these links and they just give cleaner cyclic maneuvers. Still a good upgrade though.

I am still thinking about the full Chronos upgrade ..
Just afraid under 1800 RPM , don't feel so much difference..
Don't want to spend money to get something similar ..
I will for sure see the difference with the Optic Upgrade
Maybe start with that ..

I decided against the upgrade. My 7hv flies perfect in my opinion and I prefer to keep it as light as possible. If they ever come out with the stretch kit, I might get a chronos kit. To me it looks more like it was designed to run as an 800.

I got the opportunity to get the full upgrade for a good price so I did it..
At least when you see this video at 1200 RPM I am not worry about his performance between 1500 and 1700 Rpm
IRCHA 2014 - Chronos at 1200 RPM Headspeed (3 min 33 sec)

Sorry - I didn't see this question until today. I cannot say that I noticed a significant difference at higher rpm either. I'd say I can feel a difference in overall flight behavior with the new geometry, especially with moves where I am seeking precision, like down on the deck (I hesitate to call it smack, as I am not flying "hard"). But, overall the 7HV was fine by me at any speed. I mainly like the appearance of the new machine, and robustness of the newer mechanics. I think I can see less rotor deflection in things that rock the airframe like tic tocs. It truly is a marvelous machine.

Kevin's low speed video is very nice. He does a nice job at smooth 3d. But, the 7HV does equally nice as well. The Chronos just looks cooler doing it (in my opinion). There was never any problems with the 7HV by the time we had the Ultimate upgrades, and mainly the tail, at that.

Mine is open on the bench right now, finally getting the HV BLS treatment.

I agree 110%... I wish more folks would consider it when thinking about a new 700 class heli. The new canopy shape better suits the frame too.

I think for most of us the idea to upgrade the 7 Hv Ult in chronos is just to get a better design and new mechanic..

The feeling to get a new machine .. for sure we don't need it but for sure we love our 7 HV and we will for sure love our Chronos..

Most important is the chronos can do the same or even better than the 7 HV in high RPM...

So need it = NO
Pleasure to upgrade = YES

And its christmas in a few days
