Default Multiple receivers / satellites

All,
Are there systems other than DSMX/DSM2-ish that support satellites or multiple redundant receivers?
And, as a follow on question. Anyone fly large (550 and up) helis with single receiver/satellite?

I fly 600 with a receiver and one sat. Never had a problem.

I am not 100% sure but I think Jeti run a duplex system with multiple receivers.

Also if you run a robust system i.e. like Futaba you don’t need multiple receivers, just one dual diversity receiver is all you need.

Thanks for the response guys.

Where do you mount your satellite?

Ok, yeah, looks like Jeti does support multiple receivers. Looks like the aiplane/turbine crowd does this a bit too and there are other options out there - tho' they look rather bulky. Even looks like maybe flysky has one in the works.

Does dual diversity of Futaba deal with shadowing by conductive materials (carbon fiber)?

Thanks again guys,
Tom

Futaba does not have shadowing problem as they always say mount your antenna at 90 degrees away from the frame. Can’t find a pic but here is one on my T-Rex250

Ok. And they are on the tail brace away from the frame... if I'm looking at the pic correctly. Thanks toocool.

Yes my T-Rex550 is done the same way, just one receiver with dual diversity. Below is the receiver mounted inside the T-Rex250. What you see is a full range receiver, it's tiny.

Main receiver up front above the battery, sat also up front but at 90 degrees with wires clear of frame.
