Hi, I have been flying for 3 mo.. I got the 600 used about 3 wks ago. This week I finally decided to do some 3D after 20 flights and getting more used to it.

The set up.
Servo: JR 8717, Futaba S9254 tail, with GY401
Electronics: Stock motor 600XL and speed controller, AR7000, JR X9303
Blades: Align CF, main, tail and paddles
Torque Tube and CF tail boom.
Helical main gear 188T with 12T pinion

Radio set up.
Pitch
normal- -4,0,+11
idle1- -11,0,+11
idle2- -11,0, +11

Throttle
normal
0,inh, 60, 80, 90, inh, 100
idle1
100, inh, inh, 95, inh, inh, 100
idle2
100, 100, 100, 100, 100, 100, 100

I usually fly idle1 and get about 6.5 min

HS. dunno but as fast as I can get it.. it likes it. (calculated to 2168)

Batt.. TP V2 5000 6s

certainly a new addict here The sim helps a lot when trying new stuff. But it does take a leap of faith..

The 600 is certainly impressive in the air and commands attention.

Check out this video of my Trex 450 with a Flycam attached.. Warning: Take some dramamine before hand....

You mean 3 months with the 600 or 3 months actually flying helis ? I was still wetting my pants at 3 months of flying, straight and level flight, that is. I actually made my first flip after 7 months of flying RC helis. I fly almost every day, started with a Blade CP then jumped to the 600, and now it's been close to 2 years, sheesses time flies.

Well, three and half months of flying helis and about 2 weeks with the 600e.

I have had my fair share of crashes, sometimes, twice in a day. I am sure I can put a 450 together with my eyes closed now. But my learning curve really took off when I got over that initial fear of crashing and inverted flying and I figured out that I could fix anything 450 related..

So crashes are getting much farther apart and I am over the nervousness of trying something new.. It becomes fun to try something new.

Inverted flying, flips, etc was not new to me but it was new to the 600e this week.
