Tot the dmg up, including your time. Rekit may or may not be a viable option you may not have have considered. Heli imho is quite fine stock, but by all means consider metal gear servos.

Btw, your mainshaft and spindle - check them - you frequently will find they need to be replaced. I would look at your main rotor blades as well for damage

Ok, do stock parts except for the three cyclic? What about tail setup?

Imo, for the tail, use either stock, hitec 5084 or go all the way for an mks DS95i.

Stock servos are cheapest but crash them and the gears strip, maybe more. Gears are cheap though.

Imho hitecs are value for money, sweet spot if you ask me. Durable. If you choose analog cyclics , don't let the 450X firmwared bx fry them.

MKS are premium I have some that I have crashed I was convinced they would not survive a couple of times, but lol they did. For a 450 size I cannot think of beter. But if spending this much on servos, think of a high end kit heli, imho

Put Savox 0257 in it for cyclic, they work great and have lasted a few crashes in mine.

I put Align 450 sport landing gear on mine instead of stock, looks better and I think it's stronger.

I have Savox 0257 cyclics on mine. I'm pretty sure that you'd be hard pressed to find someone who's torture tested their servos any harder than I have and these things have been perfect. I even broke the case on one and when I took it apart to replace the case, the gears were still perfect.

Maybe to save money initially I can replace the gears in the servos. Replacement gear kit?

You can start here http://www.bladehelis.com/Products/R...=Parts+Listing or in your manual for part numbers and then you can either google the part number or search on one of the online rc stores. I usually buy my blade parts from one of the following.

http://www.ampdraw.com/
http://www.amainhobbies.com/
http://grandrc.com/

or hopmeup on ebay. There are a lot of others that carry them, too.

On your tail, if the bearings are now missing from the tail case, you'll need to order those along with the tail case set because they do not come with it.

If you are sure the stock servos are merely stripped, regear them. Cheapest way. If they are merely stripped.

Check the 4503D forum about diassembling/reassembling your tail. Thalios's sticky may have what you need. This heli fortunately is quite simple in design.

Maybe I should take the manual to my LHS and just order them there. I usually get the good ole boy hook up there. Man.... this is going to suck.

I know of no way but this, see if they appear to move.

If they are moving that's a start. If they are not, I would probably not bother regearing. Bear in mind the motor / electronics may have also been damaged. I don't have the skill beyond this in troubleshooting them.

If after regearing they don't move right or center well etc, other than doublechecking you've put them back the right way, I think there's little you can do but change them.

I guess I will attempt a regear first. I am not looking forward to programming the beastx. I have not read much on it yet...

So my lhs has the savox 0261mg but not the 257mg. The only difference is the speed

I did this at first, but in retrospect, I wish I had just upgraded. To me, replacing those tiny little gears is a pain, and it can be difficult to get the little screws out of the case. I stripped a couple of mine.

I went with Savox 0257, and they dropped in perfectly. I only wish I had done that before rebuilding the stockers a couple of times.

On the tail, I bought a complete tail assembly (new) including tube and belt for $60 off Ebay which had been removed from a new 450x. It saved me a lot of assembly time.

Well I went out and walked the field where I crashed. I found the entire tail assembly, in tact, except for the case, which I ordered. May not be that bad after all

Went ahead and upgraded the tail case to aluminium. I wouldn't mind some bling since I will no longer be doing anything that could cause a crash for a long time.
