Basic question

Can you import existing models, change the color schemes and such and then rename them and use? I'm way too dumb to use this to actually design a heli, but I might have enough brain cells to start with an existing model and change the colors to make it look different. For instance I might import an Align 700 model and change the canopy color scheme to make it look more like my Logo 550sx. This seems logical, but all I saw in the tutorial was starting with what would equate to a "blank canvas" with a basic, generic model and then having to identify the CG, physically alter various components, enter parameters, etc. I would rather start with something that was already created, change the color, and then change any parameters in the regular model editor in the sim program.
