This solution looks much easier and just a tidy.
Yes, you can source the black ones in small packages at Home Depot and the likes in the electrical dept where the zip ties and cable organizers are sold.

That's 50 inches, so how is your GPS mounting over 4 feet away from your main shaft on a 600 unless its mounted to your tail fin? The only thing I can think of is you are thinking its MM when its scaled for CM
Well, now I feel really stupid.
I thought it was mm - not cm

The 800E has parts for mounting "sensors."

Xrated, I used a slightly smaller mounting plate, that came with the lighting kits I had bought, to mount a satellite receiver on the boom of my Heli-Baby. It's a really nice, clean, and simple way to mount anything that size to any surface. I had a GPS unit when they first came out but found very little real use for it for my flying requirements but I had made up a mount from a Logo 500 boom clamp and a receiver plate from my Align 550. It was very solid but much larger than this. The negative point to the Logo mount was the two 25mm long bolts that held the mount to the boom. This eliminates that ferrous metal from around the GPS unit. Nice.

Hey guys. I want to mount a GPS2 on my EXO. I like things to be neet and out of sight. Can I mount the GPS2 under the rear of the canopy. I would notch a angle out of the carbon fiber frame and glue a flat CF plate to that notched out area. Then mount the GPS2 on top of that. Will that work?

Thanks
Paul

Paul, you don't want CF anywhere near the GPS receiver; Plastic is a better option for the plate.

The size of GPS2 unit, opposed to GPS1 is huge and dificult to hide. I've mounted mine on the tailboon as far from the CF frame as it was possible due to cable lenght limitation, using the plastic mount that came with the unit. It works fine.
