HC3-SX Questions
Hello everyone,
Finally got my Vario Huey a first flight. I'm using a HC3-SX for my gyro linked up for FBL using a JR 12X radio This is the first time i've worked with the Helicommand Gyro. I love it but trying to really get to understand the gyro has been tough for me. My first flight seemed very sensitive. I don't know if I've set up my gyro correctly. Nevertheless I have a few questions. If someone can lead me in the right direction, I will really aprreciate it. 1. I noticed that when I tilt the helicopter front to back and vice versa the swash corrects the movement by going opposite direction. When I tilt the heli side to side it also wants to correct its direction but way slower (barely noticible) than when I tilt front or back. 2. Also, I'm trying to figure out how to assign the control of gains for the Head Gyro and Tail Gyro using my 12X radio? 3. If anyone can share some settings for me to input would be helpful? I've read through some of these other threads and managed to understand a few things. I just cant come to figure it out on my 12 radio. Thank you in advance. Orlando |

The head moves correctly. Its just that the side to side (aileron axis) movement is slower than the pitch (elevator axis) movement. Just wondering why one axis is slower than the other. Thanks for the video Orlando |

Anyway, simply go with the defaults and give it a shot. Maybe, if the heli is bigger than 700 size, turn down the agility slider in the Rigid page to your needs, or add some expo or even dual rate. After having set everything from RC to Tail page, you are free to play with this in the Tx. Joachim

Thank you very much for your input. I've got her ready for a test flight. My helicopter is a Vario Huey with petro mechanics. I believe the rotor dia is 2000mm or so. And last question. I know it states not to change the settings for pitch on the radio. I've spent all day trying to figure out and finally have no choice put to go in the radio. Will this affect performance? Thanks, Orlando |

No problem, as long as you fly asymmetric scale pitch and do only use the Hover&Scale Hor-option.

Is anyone having a problem accessing this video from the Robbe site? When I tried, i get about 3.5 minutes in and then it jumps to 19 minutes. It completely skips over much of the setup info.
Thanks for assistance |

I am having problems accessing the video from the RObbe site? When I play it, I get about 3.5 minutes and then it automatically skips to the 19 minute mark for the Flying segment. Most of the setup info is skipped over. I have tried several times to access it, but no luck.
Any suggestions? |
