Default Edge 72mm tail blades on 500EFL

Anyone running these tail blades on the 500EFL and if so any noticeable increase in tail performance?

http://www.rotorquest.com/product_in...ducts_id=12898

Thanks!

I am running them, however I installed them the same time I installed the DFC fbl head and AR7200BX, so with too many variables, I can't really give you a before and after comparision. I'm not a hard core 3D flyer, mostly sport flying, so I'm not sure I would notice the difference anyway. With a wider chord, there is bound to be a slight increase in TA.

Kind of pricey, but mine were free with points from RH.

In my opinion the best tail blades for the heli. I tried the Align, Radix, ETC.... I tried about 5 different brands, I got the best result with the Edge tail blades. On hard 3D

Installed these tail blades and I can confirm WAY better tail performance. Gyro gain on AR7200BX came down from 65 to 59. Letting it rip on the 12 tooth and 100% flat. Tried governed on 12t and flat on 11t. Still like the crispness of wide open!

EDGE tail roots were to thick for the grips and I also had vib issues.

The Radix tails are the next try for me

Hmmm, that's too bad. I definitely couldn't tighten the screw much and they got too tight, but just snugged it with lots of loctite and they seem fine.

I weighed the edge and they are exact to 1/100th of a gram. They are 1 gram each heavier than stock.

I had to lighty sand the side of the blades to get a good fit so they weren't so tight. The amount I took off didn't even show a difference in weight on the scale. And the grip screws were just barely snugged and the loctite is doing it's job. But like I said, mine were free, so I thought I'd give them a try.
