Default Logo 690 v1 to v2 upgrade and rebuild

Finished my Logo 690 v1 to v2 upgrade last night and fitted a new Lynx swashplate too during the rebuild. Also put on a Heli Centre Berlin boom cover (thanks Patrick).

I did the remaiden today and it flies better than ever. It was a very interesting project and well worth the effort.

Garry,

I'm not normally big on orange (prefer bright yellow) but that canopy, boom cover, skids and struts look AWESOME!!!

Nice job!

Very cool. Mine is a little nose heavy with 5000 packs. I bet that boom cover would solve that issue in a stylish way.

You can get them from heli-center Berlin. Looks good Garry I'm looking at getting the boom cover for my 800, my 690 is going into my Uvular fuse.

Thanks guys. I've now got the Heli Centre Berlin boom covers on both my Logo 550 and 690. The orange scheme is really visible up in the air.

I've just taken my Logo 600SE v2 out of my Uvular fuselage as I'm selling it and I'm going to build up the mechanics to pod and boom again and fit a tail boom cover to that too. It'll be interesting to see how it all turns out in the yellow and blue scheme. I will post pictures once it's all done.

If you do yellow and blue, I'm going to be envious. Those are my two favorite colors put together.

I look forward to the pics!

Do you notice the extra weight of the boom covers? It looks like they are 190 grams

Remember, it also replaces the boom supports and horizontal fin. My 550SX V2 balances perfectly with an OptiPower Ultra 4300 mah 6S pack mounted at the front of the tray. A 5000 mah battery will need to be mounted a little farther aft.
