Pano sky patches for sale??
After watching DJ's tutorial it is clear a source of "sky patches" are necessary.
A few different elevations of sun location for differing time of day and season would be required along with secondary cloud overlays with different cloud types, densities, time of day etc. Unless you live where it is flat it is hard to aquire the needed skys required. Shooting over water/ocean is probably the hardest to patch. The sky/cloud reflections on the water play a big part in the overall picture. Anyone willing to take the torch or are skys already available somewhere??? Chris |

Try looking for hyperfocal skies. I have an extensive library of 360 skies from them that I use for architectural renderings.

That is a decent price. For the beautiful sky challenged person like me, it's a good investment. I've tried a lot of different ways to capture quality skies and it hasn't always come out well. It's tough to get them perfect or be in the right place/right time when conditions permit.
Perhaps I'll just flip my Logo with the PS1 mount on it and fire away. |

Good call. Wonder what the quad would think of having the CG topside instead of bottom?

probably not much different that hovering a heli inverted... I never can tell the difference. But not having flown a quad I can't confirm.

For those who don't want to pay for skies, this is how I used to do it: spend a day in the country, farm areas, where it is as flat as possible. Throughout the day, just capture the sky at say, one hour intervals. You don't even have to be precise with a pano mount, I have even shot them hand held. Skies are easy to stitch, errors are usually not critical. After stitching, simply remove any unwanted trees in PS.
For those who live in the desert, it should be really easy
