Avro Canopy
Hey all,
I've got a Blitz Avro coming my way soon and was wondering if anyone has tried a canopy from a different manufacturer? I personally love the look of the Aurora canopy! Just don't want the hassle of having to get the Avro one painted. |

I just finished my build. My ONLY complaint is the quality of the canopy. It is bare unfinished fiberglass. There is no gel-coat. Prep work is SUBSTANTIAL before you can even seal prior to painting. The resin is so thin ANY sanding will expose the fiberglass mat.
For a $1500 US kit the canopy is a joke. Everthing else is a work of art. Spending an additional $250+ for a custom paint job is BS. When a run of the mill TRex comes with a beautiful canopy ready to mount. Short of that, the kit is a killer deal. Quality and machine work is second to none.
