Default How important oil can be

just did a winter check up, and removed the oil from the main shaft. when i putted my swash back on, it was very unpleasant to listen to. so I used a special dry oil that bikers (penetrating oil) also use and the swash never was so free to move. My bearings were rusting just put a bit of that oil on it and it disappeared directly in the bearings. Same with my swash it was a bit rusty just sprayed a bit off this stuff and the rust was gone within 2 hours. voor de belgen, het komt van de brico (kruip olie)
But then i just used some other very light oil because this one doesn't stay long on the shaft/ bearings. but you really don't feel it's wet your finger just feels it's very slippery. Message: penetrating oil to clean bearings and another light "dry" oil to keep it very free

I would sudjest greasing everything but the radius/swash area of the main shaft. Use a light oil there. Don't let it get into the bearings thou (with a greased bearing). It'l rinse the grease from the bearings.

that's why i did it, the old grease caused my bearing to rust so I cleaned it out with wd 40 and put the bearing in a bath of oil for 1 hour runs like new (or at least how new an align bearing can be)
