Peter,

the one on post 21 will fit most of the batteries as it is new design. The other one is just like stock.

Very soon available.
Darn - it is ugly. Sorry, but will it be available in other colors than that?

Has anyone used these yet? How are they?

Steve, hows the weight of your all metal tail compared to the stock plastic?

Thanks

Yes I tested a set of those and here is my opinion.
They are not at the performance level of the Align CF but they are a good value blade for sport flying and some 3D like loops rolls flips etc. Look at them kind of like Pro woods on a Trex450 compared to CF on a Trex450.

So for those that dont want to spend $58 bucks on CF these are a good value compromise but don't expect them to perform like CF's.

Hey Helidirect! Sounds like you're really in business here huh.....

Canomod T500 canopies: let's see them before we drool. But I do have a few T600 and Raptor Canomods - they are just AWESOME.

I'll soon pick up my HDX500 tail or another one, modify it and throw it on my T500 - that black plastic sucks!

The metail one weighs 55.2g.

Would be very similar to the plastic stock one.

actuall we have the weight broken down for plastic tail.

Tail Pulley Case 21
Tail Pitch Slider 5.7
Bell Crank 3.7
Tail Rotor 20.4
Tail Pulley Shaft 7.9

Total 58.7g

So the plastic tail is 3.5g heavier than cnc tail system.

That's sweet!

Don't waste your money on this, it does not fit the T-rex. A dremel wont fix this you, would need a grinder. The gromet holes are an inch short of where they need to be, the ball link will jam. Not a good purchase unless they sent me the wrong part all together.

rhirsch1,

You must get the wrong canopy. Maybe you got the HDX500 or Lepton canopy. The T-REX 500 is designed for T-REX 500 with longer canopy mount hole to fit T-REX 500.

Well, you guys shipped it you should know if I received the wrong part. The pick slip/order has all the offical yellow highlights over the part numbers. It doesn't look like I ordered the wrong part or screwed this up.

Any chance you could post photos showing the issue(s)?
