Default How to go about changing?

I have a T Rex 700 that runs on two 6s batteries. I am wondering how I would go about just running 1 6s battery and change the motor to a low speed config. Any advice?
thanks

Make a jumper to complete one side, plug battery in other side go fly.

If you want both 6 s battery's on for super long flights make a 3 way.

But the heli is going to be heavy so I would go first route.

No need to change esc settings?

You will almost certainly need to increase your esc throttle percentage, assuming you are running a governed head-speed, probably to 100% initially and take your chances that this gives a high enough head-speed. Your esc may well complain about this setting, depending on your model.
Obviously, drop one of the 6S packs to save weight!
This will prove hard work for the battery packs, and the higher 'C' rated packs will cope far better. You may well need to change your head and tail gains to accommodate this change. Bear in mind, if you are running a DFC head, that it may not like the lower head-speed, and start behaving less than smoothly, head-bobble, etc..
You may well need to drop your pinion size and increase your pitch range slightly.
Anyway, just go experiment!

So where I have my second 6S pack connected, I would run a jumper to complete that circuit and eliminate the second Battery If I understand you yes?

If you leave everything as is.
Just plug in one 6S pack.
Your ESC, if you have a GOV set on it will run at 100% to try to reach the GOV setting.

No I don't have a governor set up in the ESC so I can just plug and play.. I'ms surprised that I don't have to change the cell setting in the esc... Worth a try..I"d really like to fly my big bird, but wiht the old hammered packs I have for it, I'd rather just lug around at low headspeed...

then you know what happens right? Ohhhh I gotta have MORE SPEED.... So typical
