I don't believe so. It seems like I just got one with a bad weld. The replacement had a much larger weld bead and is holding up fine.

Reason I assumed such, unless I am mistaken, is because the Powerboost pipe is solid construction between the pipe and exhaust flange connection. The YS pipes have a separate header with fat o-rings to seal. The connection between the pipe and header have flex grommets to take up vibrations. Much less apt to crack.

Here's a quick flight I did over the weekend with the nitro. Got a little too low at the end and hit the tail in the snow, destroying the tail blades. After we got snow, it rained and everything froze which is why the tail blades shredded. I could actually walk on the snow without sinking in. The only damage other than the blades was a broken tail fin and bent tail output shaft.

My good old reliable Aurora 90....hundreds of flights, and even with the Ikon completely de-tuned, with the wrong pitch, one blade off track and the wrong cyclic angle, it flew like a faithful dog!

These helis are truly amazing...

PS the Ikon off tuning was due to me using the unit on another heli and when I loaded the files back on to use it on the Aurora, I used the wrong file...the track on one blade was off and I didn't even noticed it..but you can sometime hear it flap on the flips to the right

Kind regards

Alex

I was mistaken. Didn't mean "YS pipes". Meant to say "Hatori pipes".
