Default CPII and a Trex 500 for trainning?

I'm thinking about buying a Trex 500 and a CPII for my girlfriend to learn hovering and basic flight. Also for myself to use for practicing inverted hover and flight. Would this be a good combo? Would a different heli be better for my intentions?

Good deal. I'm waiting to see what happens with the new trex 550. I may go that route if its not to much more expensive.

Default CPII and a Trex 500 for trainning?

I have the CPII on my trex500 and it is solid and stable as a rock. Very highly recommended! As a noob it let's me fly with a bit of confidence and in higher wind; it let's me fly more and fix stuff less.

is CP2 only available from FMADirect?
I think dealers should have discountted price from list price by manufacturer.

There are a few who sell it, I believe Flying hobby is one, though most get theirs directly from FMA
