Default My UBEC burnt while taking off..Anyone else?

On my third flight with a brand new ION, my UBEC made a cracking noise while I was throttling up and the motor cut. Started to smell burning and found out the UBEC chips were fried back at the bench. Everything else seemed normal before throttling up (swashplate moved no problems).

Luckily, batteries and everything else is ok after I put in a NICD receiver pack.

Anyone else have this happen to them? Used HV UBEC and had it connected only to one battery pack.

Get a hold of Jeff Meyer at www.koolflightsystems.com, I'm sure he will make good on the unit.

Called Jeff at Kool Flight today and he has already sent a replacement out for me. Now that is great customer service.

I love my ION.
