Default Potential Over speed issue

Ok, so I THINK this is a castle setup issue but i could be wrong. If its NOT then I apologize and still appreciate the help. So I have a DT700 heli. Runs on 12S, Castle edge160HV and NOW a Kontronic 750-56 motor. Motor is 560KV 14 pole motor. Previously had the Castle 700 vertigo motor and heli flew and smacked great. Only reason I swapped was weight and height reasons. Anyway....running into an issue where when I punch out the motor way over speeds and the tail almost blows out. Just cruising its fine but ANY hard collective inputs and it over speeds. gearing/motor info in software is 100% correct. I've messed with motor gain time and time again with no change. Timing...no change. Essentially everything under the sun but no change. Any help would be great. Attached you'll find a video. skip to about 1:00 and turn volume up. You'll hear motor and see the crazy tail wag when it happens. Sorry for the kind of grainy video. Flat throttle curves: 30, 75, 100. Happens in IU1 and 2
DTissue (2 min 35 sec)

OWB slipping? Or Gov gain to high if your running Gov mode?

I run 8% Gov gain on my 700, any higher and i get a similar issue to what your are describing.

Yea running gov mode. 8 on the gov gain? Seem really really low. And wouldnt a OWB issue manifest itself other than just punchouts?

I was having all sorts of issues at 15% gain so I started moving down and down until I reached 8% and works great! I have read many articles on the CC Edge ESC's from pro pilots that recommend low gains for best performance.

I think even in the CC manual says if your over speeding on hard collective to lower gain bit by bit!

From CC on gov setup,

In
 a
 hover
 do
 a
 moderate
 climb
out
 straight
up.
If
the
 motor
sags
or
the
head
speed
reduces
drastically
then
 the
 gain
is
to
 low.
Be
careful
with
 a
 setting
 that
is
to
low
as
it
 could
affect
 the
performance
of
the
tail
 rotor.
If
the
head
 speed
 noticeably
increases
the
gain
may
be
to
high.

With
 a
high
setting
you
 may
get
 a
 tail
kick
in
 a
hover
 or
 gear
 chatter
 from
the
motor
 speeding
up
 &
 slowing
 down
 at
 an
 excessive
 rate.

Give it a go, worst case it will be to sluggish but I don't think that will be the case!

As far as the OWB you could be rite?

Like we talked about its a 14 pole Kontronik Pyro 750 that ESC wont keep up with the high switching rate the motor needs it will run it but not near full throttle ,In the video its looks to me like gov gain is not correct try 15 ,use 12 khz,and 5 timing it may run better, I not sure if your hitting the switching threshold it dosent seem to sound that fast ,If you want to stay with that motor I recommend a Kosmik it is optomised to run 14 pole motors very efficiently! with 14 poles the clock speeds/switching is much higher than running 10 pole motors ,Otherwise use a 10 pole motor with your Castle Esc.

That did it bud! Never thought going THAT low on the gain would do it but it did. Thanks for the info.
