Default Warped front spiral bevel gear

Hey, has anyone else had any trouble on their front spiral bevel gear on the agile 5.5? I've got two of these gears and both are warped. The second one was purchased to fix the warped one that came with the kit. I try to straiten it by bending it, but can never get it perfect. The warping causes uneven clearance between the tail shaft front gear and makes the heli sound horrible in flight as the gear noise amplifies through the boom. Fly's fine, and no worries about a mechanical problem but just curious if it's a common thing and if there is anything I can do about it. I'd really like it to sound smooth.

Thanks

Mine seemed a bit warped too. It's not that bad, but I'm chasing a fin buzz, and I'm wondering if that's contributing.

I had a warped bevel gear in my 5.5 kit as well. Additionally, the teeth across the gear were not all cut at the same height. KDS sent me a new one, but I haven't gotten it yet to verify if it is any different.

I have seen several folks who had 5.5 bevel gears come apart/blow up mid-flight. It appears that there were a batch of 'defective' gears produced that weren't caught by quality control, but KDS won't admit to it.

However, they are quick to send replacements out, which I appreciate and goes a long way to keeping customers happy.
