Default Settings for HKIII 4025-1100 w/ 120LV?

Just changed from a CC HV85 to the YGE 120LV and power is a bit down.
Tried PWM 8 and 10. 10 ran the motor warmer, but no additional power.
Timing 18 and 24. 24 may be a bit more power, but not much.
Anyone been down this road?
Thanks!

timing 18° and pwm 9kHz or 10kHz should be the right parameters
have u done the stop and full speed setup of the esc ?

Yes, full and stop were calibrated.
PWM and timing tried as reported above. Power 'feels' about 10% less than with the CC HV85.

have u tried the gov.store procedure ?
in my experience gov.store lead to much more precise rpm's

by the way, could be also a faulty esc

Highly unlikely to be faulty esc.

Thanks for the replies.
More testing yesterday and it looks like this is just the "nature of the beast". It's flying smooth and relatively cool, just a tic down on top power from the CC.

If anyone has a similar set up, please post your settings and results.

Hey guys... I also run the YGE 120LV and a HKIII-4025-1100 on my Rex 550E.

I have it on PWM 8 and 18° timing and it runs good so far... but not perfect I guess.
As it is a 10 pole motor I will try to switch over to 24° and see if it is giving more power.

The scorpion has got a high torque on mid range rpms, much better than stock 600MX. But I do have the feeling, that it doesn't have the power on high speed flights yet.. probably due to wrong YGE settings.

Best example for that feeling is the following: 2350rpm, stallturn and then full pitch fast forward flight. when on full pitch the rpm goes constantly down to 2100 as long as I have the pitch up, which is cutting off the power. logging says there are 115amps flowing out of the battery, which is not much I would say there still should be reserves left. happening on both brandnew 40C 6S 5000mAh, should be enough.

Anyone can confirm that behaviour or has some hints how to get more power out on high rpm with high pitch (around 13,5°)?

cheers,

Tom

Try 24 deg timing and post back any power and temp differences.
It's smooth, but still missing a bit of top end power.
