Default sky lipo vs. GensAce LiPo's

well, im about to get myself an X5 and almost bought some Voltz packs, but with as many problems as im hearing about, and for that price. I decided not to buy them. And I decided to give either Sky Lipo or GensAce battery packs a try, but I wondered if anyone here had used them both and which one they thought were better?

Also for those that have used either or, what experience did you have with either battery, how many flights on the pack before it crapped out, how much power.

Thanks.

I have some Gens Ace and Sky Lipo's for my 450. The Gens Ace are the 25C while the Sky's are 40C. They are both 2200mah.

They seem to be essentially the same. They weigh the same and have the same dimensions. They both provide great power and with 42 cycles on them they are still rock solid.

Gens Ace and Sky Lipo are made by the same manufacturer Ace Pow. Gens Ace is the manufacturer's own brand while Sky Lipo is a Hobby Partz brand. Gens Ace 25C is essentially the same as the Sky Lipo 40C. Their discharge curves are almost identical when comparing a 3S 2200 25C from Gens Ace and a 3S 2200 40C from Sky Lipo. I have plenty of both and would not hesitate to get 40C Sky Lipo.

Stick with Gens Ace.
That graph is comparing the Gens ace 25C to the Sky lipo 25C. The Sky lipo 40C has the same power as the Gens 25C.

Very happy with the Gens Ace 4000's I have. I have 6 of them and use them in my x5 and my 7HV. Great power, the 25c rating is very under rated. You'll be very happy with them.

No doubt they are VERY good packs. I have used them in an Align 450, 500, 550 , 600 and 700 all with fantastic results.
