The 520 gaui blades (208305) are a great buy at 59.99. they will work for flybar and flybarless.

EDGE Blades fly a little better IMO, but not crazy better.

FBL blades will also work on a FB machine, they will just add a little more stability and slow your roll and flip rates a tiny bit on a FB machine, so if you do run FBL blades on a FB heli, turn your cyclic up a little bit to get the same roll and flip rates.

If your into harder 3D, I would stick with flybarred blades, but still go with the longer 520's.

I would go with 515-523mm, makes the X5 much more enjoyable. I personally do not like 500mm on the X5.

The edge 523's are great, if your going from the 500mm red and white stockers to the 523's your in for a treat.
