Well, you guys have inspired me. I made my purchase for one of these "Lady's". Wont get it for several days (Washington state isnt very close to Indiana LOL!) Really looking forward to putting it together and applying some of my own personal details to it.
I may have to bug you with questions as I progress with the build. Hope you dont mind! Steve |

roban airwolf 800 build
Been a few days, got the ball links changed over finally. I have installed microbeast and started the setup procedure. Put the blades on rather a tight fit, but there are no spacers. Definitely check everything that screws in or bolts on, found more items not tight and no thread locker. Placed dog house on not fitting as tight now. Probably add more stronger magnets. Still haven't been able to finish clearing it, weather won't cooperate. A few pictures. Its not letting upload my pictures.

I have my servo links at 90 with moving the aileron bellcranks to the outside of the control shaft 'A' frames. Also used 1.9 mm thick cf servo mount plates under each end of the elevator servo to raise it up, so the elevator servo link will clear the aileron servo horn. Changed out the 4 2.5 x 8mm factory button heads to 2.5 x 10mm button head screws on the elevator servo. An Align 700e swash is going on mine, as soon as it gets delivered. The factory swash is plastic, totally not acceptable on a $2000.00 heli. See pics below. Aileron links on the early setup in a photo on the first page...

Thanks for the pics guys.
teotraveler, did you fabricate a new 5mm shaft for the aileron bellcranks? Reading the instruction manual, it doesnt appear that the stock shaft is long enough to accommodate moving the bellcranks to the outside of the 'A' frames. Thanks! Steve |

Then I used an Align 600esp 5x85mm control shaft. Used 4 5x7x0.5mm shims, 2 on each side between the bellcranks and the control shaft shaft 'A' frames. Re-used the factory brass 5x7x1.5mm spacers between the control shaft end screws and the bellcrank bearing. Centered up the elevator lever on the control shaft and locked down the set screw. The 600esp 5x85mm control shaft part number is H60181T. The 4 5x7x0.5mm shims used on the control shaft and the 2.5x10mm button heads used on the elevator servo came out of the 500 to 700 size hardware bag, part number H70109T. That hardware bag has a whole lotta stuff in it..... Everything lines up and works fine...

Looks really good. Thanks a ton for the info! My kit is scheduled to be delivered this Wednesday. If OK with you I am going to borrow your idea. I also went ahead and ordered a Trex700 swash. I too am not super excited about a plastic swash plate.
