Default I got mine yesterday

heli options have this bearing block for 42.20 + shipping
http://www.helioption.com/store/inde...8656cfd970a43a

and its 31.99 with shipping on ebay

http://www.ebay.com/itm/280966616733...84.m1439.l2649

got mine in today, suppose to lower vibration add frame rigidity as well as guarantee the main shaft if always running true.

believe what you want but if your going to replace the bearings its a nice option and then you can move one of the currently installed bearing blocks down for a 3rd bearing support

I can say its a nice block setup, machined from 1 piece of metal

Been looking at that and the KDE bearing blocks as well and trying to decide. Let us know how you like it and would love to see some pics of the install. Have fun!

swapped out my bearing blocks for the new heli options 1 piece unit
it looks nice the bearing are thrust bearing design, 3 pieces. Dont like that as much as sealed bearings but the one piece design adds alot of rigidity to the frames with the 3rd bearing block I added I really cant flex the frames at all by hand where as before I could get a little movement in them

the only issue I had was with the elevator arm it would rub on the outside tubular section of the unit. it didnt bind but it did rub, took less than 30 seconds to remedy this but if you get one you might check it. Theres a number of ways to fix this and the best is to remove the elevator arm and shave off 1mm from the mounting collar and your done. you can just use a flat head screw driver or pair of needle now and very slight bend the arm .5mm to 1mm is all you need

I use the Lynx one with a carbon X-frame support and it's great.

Satgod - it should be thrust bearings and a radial? on my KDE and Lynx ones the thrust is on the underside and the radial is on the top (and vice versa for the bottom) but it appears helioption do it the other way around so when looking at it you'll only see the thrust bearing unless you remove it.

I'm not sure it makes a difference which way around, but having the thrust bearings plus the radials is a much better design as radials aren't designed to take thrust loads, and of course at best you have 4kg of heli pulling on them in a hover - when doing 3D you are pulling many times that.

The thrust/radial design means the thrust bearings take the thrust load and the radial bearings take the axial load - each component doing what it was specifically designed for.

EDIT - just saw this is an older thread lol, followed the link from a newer one. Oh well!

My #1 rule of thumb is when the bearing wear or get trashed I replace them with boca
