AND their new X-Bus serial interface. Great news, now lets hope that FBL manufacturers will start to support it soon.

Screen size is smaller than the XG11, wonder why?

I like the CNC gimbals ! You don't fly with the screen but it could be a prototype ? We don't know the resolution of the screen. I am very interested in this thing. Waiting to see if Futaba has anything new ?

I had completely written them off, but if the offer a serial communincation interface that puts them right back in the mix !

It's too late for me, I'm still very excited about the Jeti DS-16, but this looks very viable and competitive with Futaba while leaving Spektrum behind.

Nice job!!!!

If you look at picture showing the sreen on the right it shows X-BUS below it you have bus type and S-bus inside!
" JR's Newly developed X-Bus serial connection system simplifies servo wiring, and offers complete compatibility for most all popular Gyro setups."
This is S-bus compatible! will work with the 3GX, V-Bar and all the S-bus compatible FBL!
Great Move JR!

The 14SG has already arrived. People are working with it right now.

I think the two systems are probably functionally equivalent, but it's possible that the XG14 is a bit more high end.

The main difference is that Futaba has a FASSTest receiver in production and available now and the JR XG14 and reciever have only just been announced.

The small screen on the XG14 may indeed mean it is competition for the 14SG and NOT a high end radio at all.

All I know is that I'm stoked ... just ordered an XG8 the other day and in the process of converting my entire fleet to DMSS.

I just knew that JR would make good ...

I'm not even sure that they would need to do that.

The transmitter may just need to keep talking DMSS to the receiver.

The receiver would talk X-Bus to the FBL controller.

There must be some alteration of the data format/protocol when X-Bus is selected, as you need to set this in one of the menus in the Tx as shown in the pics.

So I suspect that a firmware upgrade in their other XG series Tx's would be called for.

I'm sure they'll make it compatible ... it would be silly on their part not to. At the worst, it's a firmware upgrade.

As for a guess when the receivers will be available, I'd guess this spring... but that's only a guess.

JR recently makes small statement about Flagship radio.

“JR Propo Yes, We are working on new falg ship but I cannot inform too much detail, we are hoping to release this within 2013."

It also looks like current XG series radios will get firmware update for x-bus protocol use.

So does this mean it will be compatible with the gy701 and gy750. And that would mean we could finally use a switch to turn the gov on and off instead of using throttle positions?
