Are there any recommendations for replacement servos for tail and cyclic.
Preferably savox, JR, Spektrum or Hitec.

There are already several threads on this topic. Do a search on "servos", within this forum.

I just finished reviewing these discussions to determine which servos to get as replacements for my stock servos with stripped gears. First, I decided I didn't want to bother with replacing the gears on the stock servos. I narrowed my choices to the Hitec 5065 and the Spektrum H3000. Some of the Align servos apparently require you to grind the frame a bit to get them to fit. I chose the H3000 and replaced all three collective servos.

There are lots of good choices. Once you narrow don your servo candidates, do a search on that servo within this forum to see what people say.

Whatever you choose, you have to go through the complete physical and Beast X adjustment process. Be very careful about doing this thoroughly.

I've been flying the H3000s for about a week and they are doing well.

I note that Spektrum also has a H3020 which has a slightly smaller case and maybe quicker response time. When you picked the H3000, what made up your mind that this was the way to go.

Also, did they work the same way as the stock servos or were they reversed like the Hitecs.?

I picked up the H3000, because the 3020's were out of stock. The fit nicely and I did have to reverse the settings.

Nice that they fit well. Did you reverse the servos in the BeastX setup or did you reverse the channel on your transmitter?

I reversed mine in the FBL unit.. (note, I'm not using a BeastX FBL just yet).

I finally decided on the H3000s because the were in the $30 range, didn't require any frame modification, and they had a good reputation for support.

Sorry, I didn't track of all the adjustments that were required. As I mentioned in my post, once installed, you need to go through a complete physical and Beast X setup. Don't overlook any setup details I did with my Tarot 450 FBL: I failed to notice a required reversal of a tail servo and the "self-destructed" when I spun it up. Not a pretty sight.

I am using the Solar D654 servo for cyclic in my FBL B450 3D. I have close to 100 flights with them and they have been perfect so far. They are digital and metal geared. The $9.85 price tag is a lot more reasonable too.

The H3020 is the slightly faster (0.08s at 6V, vs 0.09s at 6V for H3000), but less torque (22 oz-in, vs 30 oz-in for H3000). The H3020 is about the same weight, and but does not have the aluminum center case of the H3000. The H3020 is cheaper by about $10, though, at $25.

Align released a DS415M that looks interesting. Same speed as the H3020, 0.08 at 6V, but 33 oz-in of torque, and still $25.

Wow...good deal, a digital and metal gear servo for $9.85 fits my budget! Did you have to do any mods to the frame or did they drop right in? Any mods to the included servo arms?

Hi, did you have to modify the frame for them to fit or did these drop right in?

I also changed out my cyclic servos for the 0257s, and yes you have to make changes in the 7200bx as well as your tx.

Any time you do anything with the servos like removing a servo horn, changing the gears or the whole servo, you need to go through the AR7200BX setup.

I changed to the savox and then went through the beast x which is a peace of cake once you get used to it. I left the tail stock as never had an issue with it

I got the H3000's for cyclic and the Savox SH-0264MG for the tail I like the setup alot.

Savox Hitec Spektrum would be the ones I consider..I dont want to file away my frame to make one fit either lol may not be much but still rather a drop in replacement that fits perfect.
