What tools do you use for 0.9mm and 1.3mm hex
Hi guys,
I recently resurrected my Trex 250 after it lay unloved for almost a year. The reason it lay around is that I got sick of working on it - those 0.9 and 1.3 hex are a nightmare to work with, especially with the Align tools. So I rebuilt it again and it's flying well enough; I just need to figure out what proper tools I can get to work on it.. I hate crashing it because it's so hard to repair. What's the most effective stuff to use? |

I switched to MIP Thorp and never stripped a screw again.

There should be a sticky on 250 tools. And the MIP/Thorpe 0.9mm and 1.3mm drivers should in it.
Considering the cost of both is about the cost of one of the stainless screw set "upgrades", these are a really good deal! |

Thanks guys - much appreciated. I'll get myself some proper tools - hopefully it will make working on it more pleasant.

I also use the 0.05" MIP. Sometimes I have a problem with the band new screws being a little too tight to fit the proper 1.3mm, 0.05" = 1.27mm so it gives a little wiggle room.
If I didn't have the 0.05" I don't know if I'd replace it... My LHS had the 0.05" but not a 1.3mm so I bought the 0.05" one from them, and ordered the 1.3 direct from MIP.

Ya MIP. Some new screws are too tight, i use align tool on them until it strips them. Then they perfect for the MIP.
