Default PL6 vs PL8

What is the difference besides the 344 watts? PL6 is 1000, PL 8 is 1344 I think.
Any other differences? Features?
I am only charging 2200 mah 450x packs, so no huge issue. NOT planning on getting into big electrics. Just want to charge more than 2 packs at a time (which is what I am limited to with my current charger)
Thanks

The PL6 will charge up to 6S and the PL8 will charge up to 8S.
The PL6 needs like 30V to get the 1000WATTS from it.
The PL8 requires something like 26V.

Both the Powerlab6 and the Powerlab8 can do 1008 watts with 6s. The Powerlab8 goes up to 1344 watts with 8s packs. On the commonly available server supplies running 24v, the Powerlab6 will give you 860 watts where as the Powerlab8 still gives the full 1008. Charging 3s packs both units will max out at 40 amps to the packs.

The Powerlab8 has 100 watts of discharge capabilities, where the Powerlab6 is 50 watts. The Powerlab6 is considerably smaller than the Powerlab8 which can be a factor when building a charging case.

The other thing that may be important to some is the Powerlab8 can charge without the main leads (balance connector only). The Powerlab6 requires both charge leads and balance tap to charge.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

On the way. Revolectrix USA has a combo with the PL8, MPA boaard, USB connector, etc. I work on industrial equipment and change out batteries pretty regularly. Usually a couple are good, so I will charge off deep cycles until I decide which PS to order.

WOW! It showed up today. The PL8 combo from Revlectronix.... Awesome! I haven't used it yet. Still letting the new charger smell fill the air.
