Default X2 is impressive!

Thanks Heathy for sticking with me on finally purchasing a Gaui. I love this heli!

Thanks, I appreciate that Daniel880516. This flight was with the RJX blades. I really like them considering how cheap they are. They are slightly heavier than the SAB's, but still crisp in the air.

Thanks d12! I had issues at first with vibrations effecting the Beastx (7200bx). I moved it to the front and its fine now. This was my first day with it working properly at our RC field.

How is your X2 doing?

I defintely should give them a try, eventhough i hate the fact that i have to sand them to make them fit, its not like im trying to complain just my hands sometimes wont listen to me when doing some precise work such as soldering lol! But yes for me so far other than belt slipping on me, i absolutely love it!

I actually have the same problems. I over did the dremel work on those RJX's and made them too narrow. Use a slow speed or do it by hand, even better.

Are you using HSC auto hub and tail shaft/pinion set or stock? The belt is too small on this thing for sure.

Anyone else using both the HSC auto gear and tail hub combined? Does your tail kick right on punch outs??

I still can't get mine just perfect even with collective mixing in my skookum.

I was getting a hard tail kick to the right on punch outs until I moved the Beastx (7200bx). up front. You can see in the video at the beginning where I dig out a bit and it holds now.

My first few flights I had that issue of the tail kicking out during punch outs, then vibes caused more problems with the Beastx. It would give full left aileron on the ground during spool up. It cost me a set of SAB's. Prior to this I was getting a strange small aileron kick to the left in the air.

I noticed when I pinched the Beastx on the sides with my fingers, it would work properly during spool up on the bench. I moved it up front and used gyro tape to support the sides of the unit with the frame. Now all the issues went away.

Good luck Heathy, I hope this helps.

Yes i am, hsc, ds95i, aluminium boom support, im still a beginner when it comes to setting up helis especially, but i never tipped over except tail blow out. Apparently the HSC is not enough, go read the ultimate mods thread from djelom, that's what im gonna do next, the belt just wont take pitch pumps and tic tocs, caused me 2 tic toc crash so far.. Please dont do those moves too much yet lol..hopefully once i add the idler pulley as a belt tensioner in the tail case problem is solved, and i have the ultimate x2!

My vibes are so low its mental, so its not that. Also my belt is as tight as its ever going to get, i did this after reading about the extra pulley. All this with a governed head speed.

I never flew this heli with the stock auto gear or tail as i opted for the HSC mods from the get -go.

This must be a skookum thang then More tweaking needed.

Not vibes for me either, i never used the stock pulleys too. I tried the tightest belt mesh too, but hold the tail grips and turn the head the belt will still slip with jist a lil more force, i wont fly it until i add a pulley to the tail case for that extra tension. Gaui please do something, you almost made the best 250 heli come on.

Yeah mine is silk smooth now, but Ill leave the Beastx up front for weight. I think the issue with mine was that the brass spacer in the tail box the supports the tail shaft was loose and causing vibes by allowing the tail shaft to wobble slightly.

Heathy, I just remembered that when mine was kicking tail right on punch outs, my tail slider was really sticky. I used some 2000 grit on the HSC tail shaft to smooth it out. This is when I noticed this went away. Mine did it with the Beastx, so I doubt its your Skookum. Make sure your tail slider is super smooth. I hope this helps.
