ESC setup steps explanation
Why do step 3 of setting "fixed end points" in the drop down list as shown in this video series if you're going to run in Gov mode?

You need to calibrate your TX to the ESC.
How would you know what endpoints to set? Calibrating the TX throttle to the ESC is imperative for the ESC to know what full and low stick are. |

Thanks. I figured that out after the first time of setting the throttle hi and low in the radio and motor without setting up the ESC to "fixed end points" in the software FIRST so it would remember them. Motor ran up fine after my initial goof. Next time I fired things up, no motor.
That's when I realized WHY you can't skip that step. I can follow directions, my troubleshooter type mind just needs to know how and why things work. |
