11th LMAC Heli Fli-in Sept 7th-9th 2012
Lexington Kentucky's (Lexington Model Airplane Club) will be having our 11th annual Heli Fly-in Friday the 7th of September through the 9th ! As in the past its going to be a blast ! Friday is setup day for us but everyone is welcome,there is open flying and registration starts Saturday morning. Landing fee is $20 and includes lunch on Saturday and Sunday and an entry into our pilot prize drawing .Raffle tickets will be sold through Saturday evening and we have an auto contest on Saturday with a $100 prize, otherwise we have open flying with Scale,3D,FAI and whatever that stuff Bill Pirschel does .

Awesome. Im moving to Lexington for a new job next week and can't wait to see something like this. Being a noob ill be walking around in awe!

That will be great to have a new club member. The club itself is mentally ill as you will discover over time. But the heli group borders on sanity for the most part.

I will really have to progress if I plan on flying anything but Ill be there one way or another. Hopefully the 450 I have waiting for assembly will propel my flying skills.

Don't worry about any of that. We have some great pilots attend the event but that's not what it's all about. It's about having fun and helping others have fun. The pros have more fun helping the new guys advance than they do actually flying.

For those familiar with the field, the city now keeps that front gate closed all the time. But access to the field should actually be easier than before. If you are bringing an RV and want to reserve a spot for the 30amp service, please let me know as soon as possible. Looks like it is shaping up to be a lot of fun.

Yes that sums it up. I could be putting the funds to more heli stuff but I want to visit these places and see these things. Gotta spend the hotel money for that.
