Default Da Vinci cnc skid nuts

Hi guys!

I'm wondering if anyone using the Da Vinci cnc skid nuts.
They look really nice,Readyheli sells them and apperantly they won't grap like the rubber ones when you are doing autos.
What are your experiences/thoughts on these cnc skid nuts?
Cheers!

I saw a guy with them at a funfly. They look nice, and add some bling.

I usually take off in the grass, so I don't have much use for them (or, really, even the rubber ones) but I've still thought about getting them for looks.

LOVE 'EM! I installed on my 700Nitro and practice a ton of auto-rotations down to our asphalt runway. Love the "sliding" autos without shredding skids/pipes.

I don't get it, I thought the stoppers were meant to "stop" the heli from turning on spool up. How does aluminium help? Look cool though.

I don't know markleyland,I have not got them yet,I should have them sometime next week and I will post if they are ok or not.
What I have been hearing is you can do better autos with them seen that they don't stick like the rubber ones but they still ptotect the landing gear.
At the club where I go,we have concreted heli pads so,when autoing it will help to slide. When spooling up,I don't think there should be a problem heli turning seen that the Gyro will take care of that.
Cheers!

I think this stoppers are designed to "stop" the wear of you landing gear and allowing it to slide, I've had a couple of close calls with the rubber stopper graping to much, so I took them off and was wearing out my gear, this should last the life of the heli I beat.

How much do these things weigh? They look like pretty thick aluminum...

Any one think about one accidentally coming off in flight and hitting the main blades?O yea I would make sure they are on there nice and tight!I say this because On my 700n I had a skid pipe plug come off while it was inverted and it Hit right in the center on the leading edge it cracked my Radix blade so bad I had to buy a whole new set It sucked bad and yes no mistake about it a skid pipe plug did that much damage think about one of those big metal nuts coming off and hitting your main blade that could be very dangerous!!!

No kiddin'. The ones I saw were installed on the insides of the struts, so they couldn't slide off. Good thinking.

They look good M8 but wouldn't they be better off on the inside of the skids?

I use these skid nuts because i use a rubber landing mat and rubber on rubber not good! i was affraid the skids would stick on a landing and bust up some blades. they look good Helis4me but they look even better with the 700 skids. take a look at my pic's from another post

I have a set on my 700e and love them, now I dont have to worry about wearing through the skids and they work great for autos.

I got them a long time ago because I had tasked rubber ones off to avoid sticking and these are fine. Even when I screw up and goose the 550 on the ground they do give but Heli jerks but ends up fine and FBL no less. I am still learning so have skid mounts leaned to rear and back set of new nuts outside supports. No issues. I have also lost a cap and blew a chunk out of tail blade! Crap happens!

One of places I take off and land from at our field is a 6 x 6 wooden pad and Heli slides a little but no big deal. They are good!

the metal ones do look cool. i bought a used align 600 and didn't know what the skid nuts were for. mine don't have any. i fly off grass, but can see how concrete would chew of my LG real quick w/o the nuts.i added some fuel tubing to my Blade 120SR once...i know what you mean about too much grip. any side movement would send the heli hopping.
