Default RDLohr's mCP X 3 in 1 Mount Review

Here is the review guys and I did some flight testing with it on my V1 board, The heli seemed to flip much straighter and the tail seemed to behave much better. I recommend it. This should really help if you have vibration problems with a V2 board.

SWEEEET! Thanks SYMAWD for taking the time to make a video!!!. Can't wait to hear how others like it as well.

When I installed mine, I didn't even remove the connectors, I just swung it up out of the way a bit.

Very cool.... how much does it weigh? Should be great for a BL modded bird... bring the CoG forward.

How important is it to have the board perfectly vertical?

Just over a gram really isn't too bad. Adding CF skids is that much. I didn't notice the weight in flight.

The mount is about 1 gram, the tape is the rest. I was conscious of weight as I developed it and was careful to trim off anything not required to support the 3n1.

I haven't noticed that it affected its feel in flight either.

Thats a good question. I would expect that it detects and reacts to deltas but I was carefull to stick the 3n1 squarely on the mount.

Surprisingly, it hardly affects CoG. I took a loose mount and set it on top of the canopy right above the 3n1 while balancing it and it hardly budged. I would guess its because the mounting point isn't that far forward of the CoG of the heli and it doesn't weigh that much in relation to the weight of the rest of the heli.

No CF skids here... for that reason. Stockers are great, nice and light and don’t break unless you reeeeally plant it hard.

@rdlohr
Not knocking it man, I like it, I think it’s a great piece for most users... I'm even gonna recommend it to some of the guys for whom I do these BL mods as it’s a convenient solution... especially for the aftermarket frames.

For my own helis, I just delete the screws/posts and use 3M all-weather mounting tape, doing this I actually cut a little weight. I am very gram conscious... the problem is removing and re-mounting the board... which I don’t mind.

I ordered two of these for my brushless setups using V2 boards. Prior to installing these I had a pretty significant tail kick. This is now gone. The added weight is not an issue. I would buy these again.
