Kontronik with vbar
Hello, I am working on a friend of mines heli and he set up the heli. He is putting in a different motor so I have to reprogram the jive. When you are in the vbar setup you have to adjust your travel adjust to read 100 positive and 100 negative on the collective so his travel adjust ends up to be like 116 and 112. How do you program the jive with those atv setting. Is it okay to calibrate the jive after. He never adjusted the atv but his throttle percentage and headspeed corresponds with his atv being calibrated but it reads 116 and 112? Will calibrating the atv mess up the collective channel? Also, will doing a mode1 then mode4 erase the bec settings?
Please help |

Vbar as governor, H/JIVE in mode 8?
The JIVE's throttle travel cannot be calibrated in this mode, it is fix and agreed w/ the Vbar gov. ----- Collective and throttle (curve) are different things (w/ the transmitter). There're only curves on the same stick, collective curve and throttle curve, one pair per flight phase. So each curve is adjusted separately. Let the JIVE learn the throttle travel only once (in all modes except of H/JIVE mode 8) - by automatic teach-in during mode setup.

For mode 4 on the Jive or Helijive just make the transmitter throttle atv 100/100 and mode 1 learns the throttle,Your collective settings have nothing to do with the TH chan as Thomas stated. And yes if you program mode 1 and 4 again mode 1 will erase any settings made with the progcard or disc for ESC and BEC to default.
