Default What is XTR?

Hello Gang,

I am a supporter of Reflex, I think Reflex is great and one awesome tool, but I find that XTR is not what it's crack up to be. I came across problems installing the new software. The software freezes up my computer I own one of the best computer in the market and I never had any problems with it. I have more MB/RAM in my video card than my checking account

Once I got the software working, I had to wait 15 minutes for the software to read the panoramic setting and once you past that setup stage. Selecting an aircraft takes about 35 seconds to boot up a new aircraft for you to fly.

Make sure you exit properly and don't hit the "X" on top if you do, good luck and hit CLR, ALT, Delete, your computer will freeze up or consider yourself lucky if you get back to windows.

Learn to sing a song if you open up XTR, your going to be sitting there for a while. I usually do the dishes and expect XTR to be ready when I come back

I am impressed with the image, but not impressed with the performance of the craft and the image chops/ frame delays when I'm flying, this could be due to my new computer

Reflex is awesome I have to give them that  ... XTR to me is nothing but smoke and mirrors and it's not computer friendly. I haven't had any problems with my computer but I was forced to reset it to factory settings after I installed XTR.....

Is this is simulator pushing the $$$ bucket? I'm I biting the bullet? We will see, I hope I'm wrong and I hope the only one agreeing to me is, me, myself and I when I say.. XTR is nothing but Smoke and Mirrors........

i'm running XTR on a 1.4 athlon with 256 ram and a radeon 7200 with 64 MB ram on windows 2000. I'm getting around 80 fps. Load times are under 10 sec for almost anything in XTR. Have you upgraded your video drivers and directx?
