Regarding power output, the KDE 600XF is not lacking at all on 6S.
You just need to find the gearing that gets your desired headspeed. I've found that running a little lower gearing/higher throttle % works well. Minimizes the work you motor has to do (mechanical advantage) compared to higher gearing and you need a little less headroom for governor with a high power/weight ratio heli like this.

I'm running the mod 1.0 gears with 12T pinion for a tached 2300 headspeed at 84% throttle on my Jive Pro. This setup can ask a lot from your batteries, but puts out a lot when you ask for it.

Default 550SX stock gearing and motor expectations

After having my 550sx since late last year, I finally had a chance to maiden it over the past few days. I've put 12 flights on it so far.

Overall, it feels pretty good at 2000, but agree that it feels a bit underpowered with the stock 4025-1100 motor and the 14T pinion. Any collective input feels lethargic and collective management seems to be a required skill for this setup. I'm not sure this is bad though -- just different. It's been fun flying this so far at the lower power and headspeed than I'm used to (compared to a Goblin 500). I think I may make this my low HS practice heli and learn more CM rather than upgrading it.

I upgraded to a 15T pinion and made governor adjustments (Ikon). I'm still tweaking a little, but am much happier with collective now.

I'm thinking about doing the 15T. Sounds like it will give it that extra bite.

In my opinion, the 15t is a must on the Logo 500/550 with the scorpion 4025-1100. Running mine at 1800, 2000, 2200 and it's perfect.

Seems like 2200 wouldn't leave you with much headroom. I've been tuning my governor at 2065 and when I get it where I want, I'll kick the rpm up a little to 2100 and see if everything is still ok. 2100 is where I want to be.

They don't come with a pinon in the kit, you have to purchase separately.
